May 2016 – IXION, the Norwegian specialist in luxury audio systems, is pleased to announce the launch of the Maestro music centre. Handcrafted in Norway, this state of the art system epitomises the best in Norwegian design, luxury retail and quality audio.
The Maestro is IXION’s signature product and hosts an array of features that are designed for simplicity, quality listening and aesthetic pleasure.
Maestro: The All-compassing Music Centre
The Maestro is an all-encompassing music centre – with the same focus as a traditional system but with the added touch of modern functionality. This compact package makes the listening experience easy and the user experience is streamlined with the familiar Android interface. With streaming services such as TIDAL, Spotify and Wimp built-in to the system, users are also ready tune in from the word ‘go’.
The Maestro supports up to 24-bit/ 192kHz playback and with an MQA partnership on the horizon, it is expected to be a treat to the senses. With a limited range of high resolution systems on the market, the Maestro truly sets the benchmark for sophisticated, high end audio.
Connectivity is key to the Maestro; users can play music, audio books and podcasts from a smartphone, USB, Bluetooth device or an aux-in connection. Internet radio and DAB are prominent features and allow users to connect to a variety of radio stations throughout the world and with the termination of FM signals in Norway in 2017, the product couldn’t have launched at a better time.
Norwegian Design & Craftsmanship
A key feature of the Maestro is its attention to contemporary Norwegian design. Bård Eker, the acclaimed artist behind the Koenigsegg conjured the design of the Maestro – a simple yet wonderfully progressive work of art for the modern home. Available in four colour options, the Maestro is inspired by the Norwegian seasons.
Grey – inspired by the misty mornings of Spring
Blue – stimulated by the Norwegian fjords in Summer
White – coloured by the snowy Winter days
Red – fuelled by the flaming colours of Autumn
The Maestro is a luxury statement for those who have a mature and discerning taste. It is designed for simplicity with an appreciation for Norwegian craftsmanship. Hand built in Tonsberg, Oslo, IXION are proud to say that its products are designed, crafted and packaged at home.
Introducing Solo: 2
For users who wish to expand into multiple rooms, IXION have simultaneously launched its Solo: 2 speaker. Designed to work in sync with the Maestro, the Solo: 2 allows up to 8 users to individually play their favourite music without interrupting each other. Alternatively, an individual user can play the same song on multi speakers throughout the home. Furthermore, each Solo: 2 speaker connects via a power-line, as opposed to Wi-Fi, allowing for immediate playback as soon as the speaker is plugged into a wall socket.
The Solo: 2 is available in 3 colourways that reflect the aesthetic of the Maestro – red, blue and grey. These compact speakers are constructed from aluminium and feature a DSP (digital signal processer) with up to 24-bit/ 192KHz playback. Similar to the Maestro, these stylish speakers deliver high quality audio whilst remaining contemporary and pleasing to the eye.
